As many of you are aware, Vermont Governor Phil Scott ordered the closure of all schools from Wednesday March 16 to Monday April 6 to mitigate the spread of the now infamous virus, COVID-19.
During these uncertain times it’s important to keep up to date with the news on both a local and national level, and pay special attention to your personal hygiene in order to protect yourself and those around you from the illness.
It is also important to continue with your education even with school dismissed for the better part of April, remember to keep yourself on track with the work your teachers have provided for this period!
If you want to find out more about the current COVID-19 situation in relation to the Maple Run Unified School District, these letters from Superintendent Kevin Dirth may give you some answers. The specific details of the Governor’s order can be found here on the VT state website.
Stay healthy and safe for the coming weeks! The Mercury will restart its normal schedule on our arrival back to school on April 6!
