Xain DeMont, Writer
Xain DeMont is a 17 year old senior here at BFA St. Albans, and is new to the Journalism class.
Xain is originally from Denver, Colorado but moved to St. Albans at a young age, where he attended City School. When asked what his interests and hobbies are, DeMont replied, “I love making videos; I have a YouTube channel, I like doing animations, and I am going to be in the fall musical this year.” Xain also described his main passion to be anything art related, disclosing his favorite class at BFA to be studio art.
A new member of the BFA Mercury this year, Xain pointed out that he “Always liked writing and getting the facts” which is a good skill set for Journalism.
After high school Xain will be attending Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for 2 years in the game arts program. After that, Xain hopes to move back to Vermont as a game designer.
Xain’s most prideful accomplishments to him so far are receiving an Art Certificate of Achievement, as well as getting accepted into his first choice of college.
When asked who his biggest inspiration is, Xain responded; “I really look up to my mom. She’s a very strong person and always wants to help others.”
It looks like Xain DeMont will be a positive addition to Journalism and the BFA Mercury.
