Molly Clark, a senior at Bellows Free Academy has been very active in the BFA community. Molly is part of many clubs and organizations, some of them being, Hope Happens Here, Interact, and helping manage the new BFA spirit store. Molly also participated in this year’s Powder Puff football game, and has been on BFA’s cheer team for 4 years.
In Hope Happens Here Molly helps make monthly posters to put around the school spreading information and resources for students struggling with their mental health. She also occasionally speaks at BFA sporting events, spreading awareness about Hope Happens Here and how we can all end the stigma around mental health. Molly is an ambassador for Interact, she has given tours to new and incoming students helping them get a sense of BFA, and what it is like to be a student here. Being an ambassador for Interact, Molly helps inform people about BFA and tries to grow our BFA community. She also has helped get Ada’s Closet back up and running again, and helps all around the community. At the BFA spirit store Molly helped design stickers and get the new store up and running.
Molly works at the Milton community center where she works with an after school program called Milton After School Kids. At Milton After School Kids, Molly helps run the Kindergarten through second grade groups. After high school Molly plans to continue working and helping kids.
Molly loves to work with kids “I love seeing how much growth they can make in just one school year”. All of these clubs and organizations have a significant impact on our school and community. Molly said, “I love seeing the impact that it has on the school, and although some of these things feel small they are all working together to help make our community as a whole to be better”. Once Molly graduates she plans on going to University of Vermont, majoring in special education and minoring in coaching. After college Molly wants to become a special education teacher so she can help more kids. Being in these clubs has taught Molly a lot and she said that, “These clubs have given me an appreciation for the things that I have and an understanding for those around me.” Molly has been involved and caring for the community and made a huge impact at BFA.
