When I wake up, it’s cold. I wonder why.
Mom drops me off at school, it’s nine o’clock
sharp. She starts to cry. I’ll be back by nine.
I’m happy to be back. The school day ends
and I go for a walk. It’s nice outside
I spend hours walking. I’m back home.
Missing my parents, I’m glad to be home again.
But mom is crying. Dad came home at nine.
He cried when he got home. I wonder why.
