Bloody Water by Colin Jolley (’21)

It was a hot morning.

It was a windy morning.

It was an early morning,

A morning that will not be forgotten,

A morning filled with shouts and screams,

A morning that contained gunshots and sadness.

The water was bright red like a shiny apple.

The beach was filled with dead bodies.

I could still hear screams of terror in the distance.

December 7th, 1941: A day we will never forget.
