Mya is a sophomore and has been writing for the Mercury for two years, both freshmen and sophomore year. She is a writer who has decided to focus on reviews this year, and last year published her own story. She was recommended to join the Mercury by her social studies teacher after hearing that Mya likes to write. She always has a new interest every year, but in  general loves gothic horror stories such as the game series Castlevania and the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. She has an interest in drawing characters and creating designs and hopes to get a career from that.
